Excursions and Day Trips

The Agafay Desert: a stone desert an hour from Marrakech
The Agafay desert is stone, not sand — no dunes. Here is what a trip there is really like, what it costs, and when it beats driving to the Sahara.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your prices per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. The price does not change as you add passengers, so the cost per person falls the more of you there are. That is the opposite of a per-seat tour, and it is why a family of four is almost always better off with us.
What is included in the price?
The driver, fuel, tolls, parking and waiting time. Not included: site entry fees, meals, and third-party activities such as camel rides, quad hire or desert camps, which you pay directly to those operators.
Do you track flights?
Yes. Give us the flight number when you book and we follow the actual arrival time, moving the pickup with it. It is the main reason a booked transfer beats a taxi from the rank on a late or delay-prone flight.
Can you drive into the medina?
No vehicle can. The lanes are too narrow. We drop at the nearest gate to your riad and it is a short walk or a porter cart from there. Ask your riad which gate to give us — most will send someone if they know the time.
How do I pay?
You pay the driver on arrival, in cash or by card on the payment terminal in the vehicle. There is no deposit and nothing to pay in advance. On desert and mountain trips the terminal can lose signal, so carry some cash there.
Why book direct rather than through an OTA
A booking platform sits between you and the driver and takes a commission for it. That commission comes out of the same fare, so either you pay more or the driver is paid less. Usually both.
It also removes the conversation. Booking direct means you can tell us the flight number, the surfboard, the child seat and the riad that cars cannot reach — and get an answer from the person who will actually arrange it.
And when something changes, you message us instead of a support queue. A delayed flight is a two-line message here, not a ticket.
