Coach or private transfer?
For one or two people with hand luggage and a flexible afternoon, the coach usually wins. CTM and Supratours run reserved seating with a proper hold, and the saving against a private car is large. On motorway routes you give up very little.
A private car earns its price in three situations: real luggage that will not fit a shared grand taxi, a departure time you need to control, and wanting to stop on the way. Outside those three, we will tell you to take the coach.
There is no railway south or west of Marrakech. Essaouira and Agadir have no station, so any itinerary showing a train is a train to Marrakech plus a road connection.
